Scrap metal prices remain unchanged across the board.  Summer holiday shutdowns now loom large so there is no logical reason to expect any price increases in the coming weeks.

The hot weather has seen an improvement in customer no.s through our yards but metal volumes remain tight as industry still splutters.

Scrap metal prices remain stagnated across the board this week.  A minor rally yesterday saw copper move by approx 5% but as I write this is already dwindling back to what has become normal levels over the past couple of weeks.

Lead reamains strong and so lead acid batteries are very attractive considering the time of year.

Summer has finally arrived and it feels the whole of the Black Country can't wait for a bbq weekend!

Prices across all non ferrous metals remain strong albeit at levels lower than the first 5 months of the year (2013).  Summer shutdowns are around the corner and we look forward to an influx of "maintenance scrap" and "tidyup scrap" that can sometimes make the quieter weeks surprisingly busy??!!??
