Scrap Metal Price Update 28/6/13

Scrap metal prices are unmoved across the board at slightly depressed levels.  Copper remains roughly 10% lower than in mid May (but as always in the last decade still at historically high trading levels).  All copper alloys such as brass's and bronzes also sit at this slightly lower level.

We are pleased to be in receipt of this letter from the Brierley Hill Project.  After donatong £500 in January this year to help local families with heating bills Stacey Simpson has taken the time to inform us that 20 households received a share of financial support.

We are glad we've been of help and to all at the project - keep up the good work!

Mason Metals brain power sees joint third as Winter blues blown away at Quiz!

Well done to Julie Bate and all at Sainsburys Amblecote store for putting on a great winter quiz last night (28/1/13).  After all the snow and cold the quiz in aid of their charity of the year Insight for Carers was great fun!

Our hugely unfair team of 10 came in a very good joint third but I dread to think where two teams of five would have finished!  We did however clean up on the raffle!

Last weeks snowfall may have seen the country drive to a hault but here at Masons we made it in and carried on!  On some days we wondered why we bothered as the roads and ice cold temperatures meant customers stayed away and collections/deliverys cancelled.  We did have some good snow ball fights mind!
